Actiontec Modem: Checking / Changing DNS Entries

Open Internet Explorer or your browser of preference. In the Address Bar at the top enter the IP address to get to the internal page of the modem: 192.168.0.1. You will be redirected to the Status page of your Actiontec modem:

From the tabs across the top click on the Advanced Setup:

When the Advanced Setup page appears locate the IP Addressing section at the bottom and click on WAN IP.

A warning pop-up will appear. Click on Yes to proceed.

Scroll down the WAN IP page to item 4, "Select the DNS type". If your Primary DNS is not 65.19.7.7, you will need to change it. If your Secondary DNS is not 65.19.2.34, you will need to change it as well.

Click on the Primary DNS field and type in 65.19.7.7. If need be, click on the Secondary DNS field and enter 65.19.2.34.When you are done you should have the following entries:

When you are satisfied that your entries are correct, be sure to save your changes by clicking on the Apply button at the bottom of the page.
