New Mexicans on the Move

	If you travel to other areas outside of New Mexico and want to connect to us using your notebook computer, then you need to make a couple changes in the login process only. In essence, you will need to append "@cybermesa.com" to your login name,. In addition, you need to replace the phone number with the local number for the new location. See the examples below.

Windows

Bring up the Connect To window, just as if you were dialing in from your home. Then append "@cybermesa.com" to your username. Then type in the local number for the area that you are visiting. The number will need to be typed in each time you access the Internet.*

	*	To change the number more permanently, on older versions of Windows you will need to go to My Computer / Dial-up Networking. On newer versions you would access Control Panel / Network Connections. Use your right mouse button to select your Cyber Mesa dial-up, and then click on Properties. Change the local number, but not the area code.

Macintosh

Remote Access (on newer Mac's)

Click on the Apple in the menu bar, then click on Control Panels, then on Remote Access. You will see the window as below. Append @cybermesa.com to your username. Type in the local number for your area. Click OK. The changes will remain in effect until you go to Remote Access and modify them in the future.

Free PPP (on most older Mac's)

Click on the telephone icon in the menu bar, select FreePPP Setup. The FreePPP Setup screen has four tabs a little above the middle (if not, then click on the triangle in the lower left corner of the window). Click on the Accounts tab and then on Edit. You will then see the window below. Append @cybermesa.com to your username here. Click the Dialup tab and change the number to the local number for your location. Click OK. The changes will remain in effect until you go to Remote Access and modify them in the future.
